One of the ideas of the Register of One-Place Studies which we have joined is to put online as many as possible of the documentary sources which anyone trying to understand the history of a community will need to look at.

Within the limits of the copyright laws, we plan to do this, as time allows.

However small the geographical area you are looking at in the United Kingdom, there is a vast amount of information available, possibly more than any other country on earth, as we have never had a revolution or major destruction of our records, and we seem very loth to throw anything away!
